Achieve a result worthy of a next gen as Castlevania saga seemed a not easy feat, Konami entrusts to the Spanish team Mercury Steam this arduous task, adding to the Iberians (th authors of Clive Barker's Jericho) a sacred monster as Hideo Kojima in quality of supervisor. The results, I say immediately, are excellent. Respecting the historical elements of a brand so important and entering a series of feature in step with the times, this strange pairing Kojima-Mercury Steam failed to produce a game really high profile, both as regards fans of the series, both for lovers of action/adventure pi in General.
Plot
The story tells the adventures of Gabriel Belmont, a descendant of a family of Vampire Slayer, in search of redemption for himself and his deceased wife, Marie, as well as the restoration of order on Earth victim now total chaos pi. Between dragons and vampires, skeletons and trolls the creatures infesting the planet without prisoners, our hero must juggle in a tide of levels including a little all variations in titles to date views like this: you switch from winter and therefore section expanses of ice and snow, to the desert and desolate, the lush vegetation as if nothing had happened. I should mention another great game that very nears produced Mercury Steam: THQ's Darksiders.
Technique
From the point of view chart this new Castlevania gives excellent views for sure and top-level environments, landscapes, vast, endless (sometimes microscopic protagonist will appear in front of so much magnificence) at times even unforgettable. Inspired by the artistic direction, suited to this type of product, and level design very, very good. We are not at the level of the most powerful titles of this next-gen for there you can certainly complain. The fixed shots too often unfortunately come into effect, making some points definitely frustrating, making the couple with the questionable choice for developers to bind a key to dodge a bit uncomfortable, or one of the triggers and ignore the right stick! The audio industry in music, evocative and punctual in good dubbing (English Subtitled).
Final comment
Title awaited by many fans of the series, but recommended for anyone who loves the action-adventure, not deluder those who did not settle out before an indifferent start, but once you got off that will not give satisfaction to rotation. Perhaps more to the dedicated hardcore-gamers, a product of the first floor, take with eyes closed if you liked God of War. Nice to see, entertaining, varied, long-lived, we are facing a game able to return all that he requires, and in my opinion a lot more.
