When developers publicly declared an intention to enrich the experience of Dragon Age II with additional content pi "rich and complex" than those of the first chapter of the series, I admit to having thought that they were only of classical phrases.
Although The Exiled Prince was unable to give a response to these claims, my mistrust remained line is unchanged, at least until I put my hands on Legacy.
The add-on in question is in fact revealed a pleasant surprise from the first minute and this not only to the crescendo of action that characterizes it, but especially for a narrative structure that can enhance the universe of Dragon Age in anything but marginal.
The new venture, accessible by the House of Hawke in Kirkwall, centered on a ruthless criminal organization concerned, for some arcane reason, to get their hands on the blood of Hawke to awaken an ancient creature imprisoned in a mysterious prison by the grey wardens in ancient times.
This porter inevitably our hero to travel beyond the borders of Kirkwall to explore the prison and discover a reality of the facts as well as fascinating as terrible, full of surprises and twists.
And here we notice immediately the first, great value of DLC: enrichment narrative. Unlike other additional content, this add-on is in fact an essential piece for a more complete understanding of the universe of Dragon Age, providing more food for thought to any lover of the series.
In addition to discover something extra about the origins of the hero and his family, you will have the opportunity to obtain valuable information on the grey wardens, the Darkspawn and on facts at the basis of their creation.
If you were to ask me a prediction about the future of the series based on what I've seen so far, I'd be willing to bet that the next installment of the series will be a prequel to meet a variety of narrative gaps related to "ancient times" ... but, unfortunately or fortunately, only a guess.
